How to Pick a TikTok Giveaway Winner
Short videos attract fast, noisy entries, so a clear rule and a clean list matter even more.

Why TikTok giveaways get messy
A giveaway video can collect thousands of comments quickly, many of them from people who do not read the caption. Others comment several times hoping to improve their chances, or tag half their contacts. If the rules are not obvious, you may end up with a long list that is hard to judge.
The solution is not a complicated process but a simple one: one clear way to enter, a fixed end time and a list you can explain. The random draw is the easy part once those three things are in place.
Short, plain wording works best, and repeating the key rule in the video itself helps viewers who skip the caption.
Choose a simple entry method
For a comment draw, the cleanest rule is one comment on the giveaway video, optionally answering a question. State it on screen and in the caption, because many viewers watch without sound or never open the description. Say when entries close, how many winners you will pick and what the prize is.
Be cautious about stacking conditions such as follow, like, share, duet and comment together. Each condition is another thing you cannot easily verify for every entrant. A short list of requirements you can really check is fairer than a long list you cannot.
Read the platform’s current rules
TikTok has its own conditions for promotions, and they can differ by region and change over time. Look up the current promotion or giveaway rules on TikTok’s official pages before you publish, and follow whatever they ask of organisers. Also note that if you work with a brand or sponsor, there may be disclosure rules for sponsored content in your country.
Prize draws are regulated differently around the world, and some regions limit or restrict certain types of draw. This article is general information, not legal advice, so check with a qualified adviser if the prize is valuable or the giveaway is run by a business.
Keep a copy of the rules somewhere you can link to, such as a profile link page, so that anyone who wants the full conditions can read them in one place.
Collect the entries
A comment picker such as this one works with text you paste in. It does not connect to TikTok and does not fetch comments, so you copy the usernames or comments from your video yourself. Scroll through the comment section until everything up to your closing time is loaded, then copy the entries into the tool with one per line.
Because comments on short videos can be deleted, edited or hidden by their authors, take your copy once, shortly after the closing time, and keep it as your record. Everything that follows is based on that single list.
Clean up and remove duplicates
Go through the list and remove anything that does not qualify. Typical cases are late comments, your own account, anyone excluded in your rules, and comments that are clearly automated. Watch out for repeating patterns, such as the same message posted from many new accounts.
If you offer one chance per person, use the duplicate removal option so that someone who commented ten times appears once. If you decide that more comments mean more chances, say so in the video. Either way, the decision must be made before the draw and not after you see who would win.
If the same wording appears again and again from accounts with no history, treat those entries with caution and apply your rules consistently to all of them, not only to some.
Draw, record and announce
Pick the number of winners and run the draw once. The shuffle uses random numbers from the browser’s cryptographic generator, so the order cannot be predicted. TikTok is a video platform, so showing the draw is natural: screen-record the paste, the entry count and the result, and consider posting that clip as your announcement.
Name the winner in the announcement, or show a partly hidden username if you prefer more privacy, and give a deadline to reply. Draw a reserve or two in case the winner stays silent. Tell your audience how you will contact winners, since scammers often pose as the host and message people about fake prizes.
After the giveaway
Once the winner has confirmed, post a short update so that other entrants know it is over. Ask only for the information you need to deliver the prize, and delete it afterwards if you no longer need it. If you plan to ship, consider costs and any restrictions on the destination country before you promise delivery worldwide.
A calm follow-up and a visible process earn more goodwill than any prize. People will forgive being unlucky; they will not forgive feeling that the result was arranged. Keeping the draw transparent protects both you and your audience.
If a winner cannot receive the prize, for instance because of a delivery restriction, explain this plainly and move to the next reserve rather than changing the result quietly.
