Why this exists
Many giveaway tools ask you to log in with your social account, upload your data or subscribe before you can draw a single winner. Universal Comment Picker does one thing differently: it picks a random winner from a list you paste, for free and instantly, with nothing to sign up for and nothing that can later be put behind a paywall.
How the picker works
Your list is shuffled entirely inside your own browser with the Fisher-Yates algorithm, using random numbers from crypto.getRandomValues(), the Web Crypto API built into every modern browser. Nothing you paste or draw is ever transmitted to any server — not even anonymised. Once the page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and the draw works just the same.
How it stays free
This site is supported by advertising. There is no premium tier and no feature held behind a paywall — the ads are what make every part of the tool free and unlimited.
Privacy by design
Giveaway entries often contain the names of real people. This tool was built so that it cannot see them: the code runs in your browser, the result stays in your browser, and no entry leaves your device. There are no analytics that track which entries you pasted or which options you selected.
